It’s been a while since I updated this blog and I was waiting for something. I was upset at my own lack of creativity and inability to make this simple structure from scratch. And decided not to fight it. It is what it is, as the participants of Channel 4’s Love Island say. The creativity and ability was low and I decided to improve my other Nomad skill, the language.
I am not at the moment up to building the yurt on the spot today. It is in there though, don’t you worry. So decided to do something else – to learn the Kazakh language. My native tongue that is due to some complicated personal and impersonal reasons was I do know perfectly. Now I had decided to change that. My level is an intermediate beginner’s level if not less.
I have hired a tutor and am finding ways to practice it. Here I made a series of videos of myself reading a book, Mukhtar Magauin’s ‘Kypshak Aru’i’. I will amend the length later in time. I loved making the videos and reading the book! I hope you look at it sympathetically too.
Love,
Elliex
